Haverhill Town Council (established in 1989) is here to provide the community of Haverhill with the best in local arts and leisure, and is committed to obtaining the best services and facilities for the town.
Our work cover local planning and community issues, working with ONE Haverhill Partnership, as well as alongside services provided by St Edmundsbury Borough Council, Suffolk County Council and West Suffolk Community Commissioning Group.
We are responsible for the management of the Haverhill Arts Centre and organising other outdoor events such as the Fireworks, Christmas Lights, Halloween Trail and the Summer Festival. Click here to visit our events calendar page.
We deliver the Youth Strategy in the town.
We provide a Parish Handyman to tackle tasks around the town such as tackling graffiti, overgrown hedges, and making the High Street a clean and attractive place to visit.
We also award grants to local organisations. Click here to visit our grants page..
The Town is divided into the following 4 wards*:
Haverhill North, Haverhill East, Haverhill South and Haverhill West.
* Note that these wards change at the local elections being held on May 2nd, 2019. See West Suffolk Councils website for latest information.
