Businesses are supported to demystify the process of taking on an apprentice. Young people are also supported on a 1-2-1 level to help them secure apprenticeship roles. This includes help with interview techniques and CV writing to ensure young people improve their chances of securing education/employment.
There has been real successes in helping young people re-engage and rediscover their self-worth through our Signpost programmes. These young people are referred to our programme by school nurses, counsellors and the safeguarding team from our local schools. It has been recognised that these young people are at risk of having mental health problems and/or suffering from low mood.
Linking up with Local Businesses and Education. To encourage the two to work closely together. Helping young people secure work experience opportunities, taster days and work trials.
Coordinate local training programmes. To ensure we are providing our young people with the skills they require to be successful. Looking for gaps in services and ensuring these are addressed to offer a full programme locally.
