Armed Forces Day 2020
This year we’re marking Armed Forces Day (Saturday 27 June) a little differently…
In the past we’ve held parades in the town centre and events on the Market Square. This time, to make sure everyone stays safe and socially distanced, Haverhill Town Council have arranged for a military vehicle convoy to tour the streets of Haverhill (If you have a military vehicle and you’d like to take part, please send us a message)
So you can learn more about what it all means, we will publish some of the history and context of the day and how Haverhill fits into the national picture. You will be able to download activity sheets, see videos of the flag raising on Market Square, enjoy a special set from Disco Kitchen and hear a stirring performance from Haverhill Silver Band.
