Family Christmas Weekend 2021
Saturday 4 December
On Saturday 4 December, the festive fun in Haverhill town centre continues. Santa and his band of helpers will hope to meet more children at their grotto, the crafting extravaganza carries on at both the arts centre and on the market with up to 30 additional makers stalls to complement the regular Saturday market. The Salvation Army Band will treat shoppers to more carols and Elfish Pressie and the crackers will be out and about again. Haverhill Churches together will travel at midday from Haverhill Methodist Church on Camps Road to St Mary’s Church with their mobile Nativity which is complete with a camel and a donkey! Prizes will be given for those dressed up as shepherds, wise men/women, angels and animals and photos can be taken at the Nativity Stable outside St Mary’s Church.
Those who enjoyed last year’s Marvellous Magical Winter Kingdom will celebrate the Return of the Magical Kingdom between 10.30am and 2.30pm. This time the wintery characters will be located at five mini kingdoms in the town centre. The wonderful lands will include Candy Cane World, Gingerbread World, Winter World, Magic World and Dr Octopodulus’s Advice Surgery – all Christmas and wellbeing queries welcome! When the occupants are not at home in their kingdoms, families are welcome to use the opportunity to create unique Christmas selfies.
