This year Haverhill Town Council is excited to announce a Christmas Carnival taking place on Saturday 30 November.
The carnival, run by Mahogany Carnival, will start at approx. 4:15pm and will start from the top of Haverhill High Street before proceeding down towards Queen Street and back into the Market Square. Please keep the road clear ahead of the parade.
The parade will feature bright costumes, music, dancing and special guest appearances including Father and Mother Christmas, local dance schools and even some dinosaurs!

The carnival parade will start at approximately 4:15pm from the top of Haverhill High Street.
The parade will start from the top of Haverhill High Street before proceeding down towards Queen Street and into Queen Square.
The parade will then turn around and head onto the Market Square.
The parade will feature the Mahogany Carnival team who will be dressed in bright and elaborate costumes.
Joining them will be:
- Father and Mother Christmas
- The Lisa Mason School of Dance
- Ahead of HAC's Jurassica Spectacular show, a visit by Baxter the T. Rex, Sherbert the Stygimoloch and their cute baby dinosaur friends
- Westfield Primary School
- Centre Stage
- The Carnival Crew Drummers from Coleridge Community College
- SJ Steps

Carnival Parade - 4:15pm
By Mahogany Carnival. Featuring music, bright costumes, dancing and appearance by Father Christmas and Mother Christmas in a sleigh, local dance schools, schools and community groups. (times are approximate).
Craft Fair 9am - 5pm
Featuring a variety of stalls selling Christmas gifts, wooden crafts, hand-made jewellery and more. There will also be a cake sale, a lucky dip and a raffle (prizes drawn at 3:00pm) to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice.
📍Haverhill Arts Centre
Lights Switch-on 5:15pm
Lighting up the Christmas tree in the market square and the lights around the High Street. Featuring a special guest.

Fireworks 5:30pm
Annual fireworks display on the Recreation Ground.

Maker's Market 9am - 4pm
Stalls including Happy Knots, henna tattoos, Moody Cow Crafts and more.

Living Nativity 11:15am
Featuring donkeys, alpacas and goats, with the animals being available to greet and feed on the Market Square afterwards. There will also be a short address outside St. Mary’s Church at 12pm with carols with the Haverhill Youth and Community Band and refreshments and a free gift available in St Mary’s Church.
