Haverhill Town Council will pay tribute to those who have served in the Armed Forces during Armed Forces Week, including a military vehicle parade on Saturday 27 June.

Timings

Monday 22 June | 2:00pm - 2:30pm - Formal raising of the Armed Forces Flag on the Market Square to mark the start of Armed Forces Week with the Mayor, Royal British Legion & standards, veterans, Rev Max Drinkwater and members of the public. All are very welcome.

Saturday 27 June

10:00am - Military vehicles to meet at the Haverhill Arts Centre car park

11:00am - Convoy leaves the car park, via Duddery Hill, Clements Land and Camps Road to the Market Square

11:30am - Parade consisting of Glenmoriston Pipe Band, Royal British Legion & standards, Air Training Corps and veterans. Parade will leave the front of Haverhill Arts Centre along the High Street to the Market Square via Camps Road.

11:40am - Glenmoriston Pipe Band perform on the Market Square, followed by a speech from the Mayor and raising of the Royal Navy, Army & Royal Air Force flags.

12:00pm - 2:30pm - Live entertainment from the Bluebird Girls and the Glenmoriston Pipe Band.

Join the Military Vehicle Convoy - From 11:00am

Once again this year military vehicles will form up in the Haverhill Arts Centre Car park between 10:00am and 11:00am.

At 11:00am the parade will leave in convoy for the short drive to the Market Square where vehicles will be parked up for an afternoon of Armed Forces Day entertainment.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers
 
We are proud to announce that we will be collecting money in support of Scotty's Little Soldiers during this year's Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27 June.
 
Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a national charity that supports children and young people, aged 0 to 25, who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.

Live music and entertainment

During the day there will be live music from the Glenmoriston Pipe Band and the Bluebird Girls.
