Persimmon Haverhill Development
The Roundabout:
Persimmon Homes and our contractor, Barcon will be continuing our next phase of works on the A143 at our Boyton Place development, to the north east of Ann Suckling Way to link our newly built roundabout to the A143, which will in turn provide access to the new relief road the next phase of construction of which will commence later this year. Once completed, the road will provide much better links throughout Haverhill.
Traffic lights will be in operation from 8 March until 30th of March to allow us to build the new road into the existing Bury St Edmunds bound lane. On 30 March we need to close the road until 11 April to allow the remainder of the new road to be built.
We have endeavoured to minimise the length of time the road is closed and we apologise in advance for any disruption that this will cause.
The signed diversion route for the road closure will be A1017 to Baythorne End, A1092 to Long Melford, A134 to Bury St Edmunds, A1302 through Bury St Edmunds, then A143 back to Haverhill. With the same route then signed in reverse.
General Update:
As a general update, I can advise you that Phase 1 is completely sold out and last plots are due to legally complete there in April. We have already sold three plots on Phase 2A, and three early bird reservations have been carried out on later plots to be released for sale giving purchasers more time to save for deposits and their desired extras. Demand remains high in Haverhill for affordable new homes. We hope to release a few more plots for sale in the next couple of weeks, once they reach the relevant build stage.
With the layout of Phase 2A, unfortunately we will only have three bedroom home for sale for a considerable amount of time, which does limit the market a little. There are no two bedrooms on this phase which is a shame from my perspective, and very little four bedroom homes either.
First legal completions on Phase 2A are anticipated for July/August.
