This year Haverhill has been designated the lead Suffolk town for Armed Forces Week and will once again play host to a series of events and entertainment to celebrate Armed Forces Day on Saturday 29 June on the Market Square.

As part of Armed Forces Day there will be a military vehicle convoy setting off from the Haverhill Arts Centre car park at 11:00am. The route will proceed up Duddery Hill, along Clements Lane and Camps road before arriving at the Market Square for approximately 11:15am.

This year’s celebrations will also feature several musical performances, including a performance from the stars of Britain’s Got Talent, The Big Sing. The choir received four yesses from the judges during the 2023 show and have gone on to perform at concerts and festivals alongside Mica Paris, David Grant, Ellie Goulding and the London Community Gospel Choir. Also performing will the the Glenmoriston Pipe Band. A short military convoy will proceed from the Arts Centre car park to the Market Square to start off proceedings.

The Market Square will also feature stalls from Royal British Legion, Fishing for Heroes, Veterans’ Breakfast Club, Haverhill Local History Museum, The Suffolk Family History Society, Veterans’ Foundation and many others.
