The Offshoot Foundation is hitting the road again this summer, bringing filmmaking workshops to young people (11-18 year olds) across West Suffolk, including Haverhill.
During the summer holidays, the team will be spending three days at the Chalkstone Community Centre (CB9 0JB):
- Monday 17 August | 10am – 3pm
- Tuesday 18 August | 10am – 3pm
- Wednesday 19 August | 10am – 3pm
These FREE filmmaking sessions will teach you hands-on filmmaking skills from professional filmmakers while creating exciting projects in a fun and supportive environment.
Whether you’re completely new to filmmaking or already have some experience, everyone is welcome.
Participants will explore filmmaking through a variety of creative projects, including:
- Movie trailers
- Music videos
- Animation using professional filmmaking equipment
You'll also have the opportunity to develop skills in:
- Camera operation
- Video editing
- Acting and performance Storytelling
- Teamwork and communication
- Creative problem-solving
Prefer to stay behind the camera? That's absolutely fine!
There are plenty of production roles available, and no one is required to appear on screen.
Age Range: 11–18 years
Places Available: Maximum of 20 participants per workshop
Each workshop creates something different, so participants are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as they wish.
A lunch break will be provided during the day.
Each day begins with fun games and activities designed to build confidence, creativity and teamwork.
