More information on the Residents’ Association group meeting

When: Saturday 16th November 10am. We anticipate it will last no longer than 90 minutes.

Where: On the Boyton Place development itself, using the Farrant Road car park, adjacent to the play area. A marquee will be set up for the meeting.

Who: All Boyton Place residents are invited. Also present will be town council officers, elected councillors and representatives of RMG, the management company that is responsible for the upkeep of the estate. The police will also be attending to discuss a neighbourhood watch.

Haverhill Town Council is your local council, and we are working with Residential Management Group Ltd (RMG) to facilitate the setting up of a Boyton Place Residents’ Association.

A Residents’ Association:

· Would represent everyone who lives in Boyton Place, whether you are owner-occupiers or tenants.

· Belongs to its members.

· Amplifies residents’ views and concerns to the organisations whose activities either serve or impact upon them, including local councils, RMG and Persimmon.

· Provides a forum for residents to meet to consider matters of local concern and importance.

· Encourages and promotes a sense of community spirit through organising local community events.

· Be the recognised consultative voice when there are proposals affecting your area.

This is your invitation to a meeting to discuss setting up an association. We will be seeking a small number of volunteers to form a steering group to create a residents’ association. The Town Council and RMG will help with this.

Please note the marquee will be erected on Friday 15th and removed on Saturday afternoon. We apologise for any inconvenience caused in regard to parking – we encourage those who can to come on foot. Note the marquee has no heating.
