REACH

We believe that everyone deserves to live their lives to the full. However, financial crisis, hardship and poverty-related issues have a devastating effect on individual and family life. As Reach’s practical action in fulfilment of our mission we run a number of projects and activities aimed at uncovering and resolving the root issues that people are experiencing. These include; debt and budgeting advice, emergency food, threatened evictions, client aid or household support, help with benefits and housing applications and self-help and information.

Bury St Edmunds Women’s Aid Centre

We hold a weekly coffee morning in Haverhill to support victims and survivors of domestic abuse.  We are also running the V.O.I.C.E programme an up-to-date programme for Victims Of Intimate Coercive Experience. This is a 10-week programme which has been produced by people with lived experience.  It aims to promote understanding of the abuse and coercion and to explore the effects of trauma and how to move forward from this.
